Field notes

Humid subtropical (Pearl River) — meaningfully similar to Hong Kong (40km away across the delta). Cool dry winter (December–February, 15–17°C average) is the cleanest working window. Spring (March–May) brings rapid heating and rising humidity. Summer (June–September, 28–29°C average) is hot humid with daily afternoon thunderstorms; typhoon season (July–October) is structural — Macau takes direct hits roughly once per year. Autumn (October–November) is the second clean window before winter sets in.
