For most nomads, healthcare is an afterthought until it isn't — a sprained ankle, a dental issue, a family member visits and gets sick. These cities have hospitals and clinics that meet international standards: English-speaking staff, modern equipment, JCI or equivalent accreditations. Many are also medical tourism hubs (Bangkok, KL, Mexico City, Istanbul) where elective procedures cost a fraction of US prices with comparable outcomes. Long-term bases without good healthcare access are quietly risky — pick a base where you don't have to fly out for a problem.
